I have been a little negligent with my blogging lately... life gets so hectic sometimes.
We've been in a heat wave of sorts for the past six days. It's so incredibly humid. I don't care for it at all although I do have an idea of what my hair would look like crimped.
A thunderstorm just ripped through that was nothing like I'd ever seen before.
I left work when it ended to assess the damage at home. This big ole tree (I took this picture yesterday) has a lot less limbs now. Fortunately, other than half of my roof being on the ground and the rain that came in and ruined a lot of my fiber... all is well. The amazing thing about Mother Nature is that after the storm, she leaves such a calm. The sun came out displaying a beautiful rainbow, the birds are chirping again and I have a new wheel barrel, compliments of the 60-mile an hour wind.
The temperature dropped about 15-degrees and the hunidity will be nothing more than a memory by night fall. My hair will return to normal and hey... I have that new wheelbarrel to haul all the downed tree limbs away. Life is good....

We've got quite a windstorm going on here today...although not that bad, thankfully.
I like how you're able to see the good things that the storm brought to you...
off to inscribe our name and addy on the wheelbarrow....
Funny. Where was it (on the news) - I think in Illinois - a dog went flying through the air and landed in someone elses yard. (Not kidding.)
I remember thunder storms when we were little. Out here, we don't get them too often - we just get earthquakes. I do miss the lilac trees in the yard though... They don't grow trees out here like we did back east.
That sounds like fun.
The real reason why I moved to the southwest is so I wouldn't have frizzy hair anymore. don't tell my in-laws.
I love rainbows..not in love with storms..
There weather here is different too. Cooler than normal if you can say that 107 is cool...will be even cooler tomorrow...thank goodness...maybe a cool Arizona summer!
That's some crazy sounding weather you have over there! I love that you can put a positive spin on that storm experience. That wheelbarrow was meant to be yours I'm thinking. I bet it blew in from a home that didn't simply appreciate it like you do!
I love your attitude, Missy. I'm so sorry for the damage caused, but very hearted to know that you are of sterner stuff, and immediately began putting things back to proper. I let a mouse become my undoing, while you haul downed tree limbs and whistle. You're my hero.
xox
Oh yes, we had a really crazy weather weekend as well. My hometown, Viola is so completely flooded they have evacuated parts of it!
It's OK Oz! :) We all need a break some times-- my life has been pretty hectic lately too :)-- I'm so glad you and your house are OK-- the weather has just been nuts lately! :O...
